Help!!!!!!! Need knitting pattern

Hello everyone,
Just thought I would ask the blogging world out there if there is anyone who has been knitting socks and who might have a easy pattern for a new baby at this. I want to knitt socks but I need a easy pattern. Plus I have been talking to my Susie and she as suggested that I try knitting things for my kids. Does anyone have any suggestions on kids knitting books (that would be easy for me). Now for other knitting news.
I am done with the two ICords for the Sophie Bag and now I am going to finish this one up, so that I can call Susie and have her help me with the Button Hole bag. She is so wonderful to be go graceful about my many HELP phone calls. I will be publishing pictures of these bags in a couple of days. I have a sick friend and God has lead me to make her my Mother-in-Law Anne's chicken soup. I have not made this in a long time but let me tell you it sure is good. I have two packages to get out, one is for my Secret Pal and the other is for my needle exchange pal but why does it take me so long to get the box together I ask (maybe my two young kids needing their mommy). Oh well I will be getting this out this week.
I am in need of prayer for my husband Robin, he is stepping out in faith and listening to God and he needs everyone's prayer right now. So if you feel lead to pray for him I would be so blessed and I know he would also.

Help Crying Baby

I am having one of those nights. My almost three year old is not going to bed tonight and is just crying my name out. I have the hardest time with not going in there to lay down with him and just fall asleep in my arms, but my dh is saying NO. I think he is finally done. YES,YEA. I went to Jacksonville this weekend without my kids, my wonderful husband stayed at home with them so that I could visit with my Uncle that I have not seen in 21 years. I had a great time, even though it was like sitting there with my dad who past away 1 year ago in July. I had a great time though getting to be with Valeria again, we are hoping to take off next summer to Ohio with our kids and visit with our old friends and family. I am looking forward to being with my best friend Regina and seeing my sister Shari and my aunt again. I have not seen them since October. I will be posting pictures of my trip soon. Secret Pal 6 Questions

1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quility and /or natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you? I like to try all types of yarn. I am new to knitting so there are alots of yarn that I have not tried.

2.Do you spin? Crochet?
No, I have not tried either of them. Spinning looks like it would be fun.

3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke,pets,fibers,perfume,etc.) No not that I am aware of.

4. How long have you been knitting? I learned how to knit the week of May 26 to June 2, 2005.

5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list? No, but I will and I am going to in the next few days.

6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc)
I like vanilla, apple, orange, honey,mulberry

7. Do you have a sweet tooth?
Oh God yes. I have about a dozen of those.

8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?
I love to make my own cards,(Stampin Up) scrapbooking, and just about anything that is do with crafts.

9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (If your buddy wants to make you a CD) I listen to Christian, Country, Jazz. I am not sure if my cd players will play MP3.

10. What's your favorite color? Or---do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand? I love the color purple but then I also like any color.

11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets? My husband Robin, sons Tyler(8yrs.)Cristian(3yrs.)Trevor(2yrs). And I can not forgot my Dog Joey.

12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know) To have a happy and healthy life and be the best wife and mother and friend.

13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? the softest the better, but I am new to knitting so I have not tried many types.

14. What fibers to you absolutely *not* like? Acrylic, there are some that are not soft.

15. What is/are your current knitting obesession/s? Felting, and learning how to make socks

16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit? I have tried purses,bags,scarfs but I am trying to learn different things.

17. What are you knitting right now? Sophie bag and a simple throw blanket for my friend.

18. What do you think of ponchos? I love wearing them, just have not tried to knit one.

19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? I really like both, but I do use circular when I make my bags.

20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic? I have tried aluminum,plastic have not tried Bamboo.

21. Are you a sock knitter? I have not tried to make them yet, but I will one day.

22. How did you learn to knit? My wonderful sister-in-love Susie opened her home to me and during my stay there she taught me how to knit.

23. How old is your UFO? About one month old

24. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird?
I like SpongeBob and I have a thing for Jaguars.

25. What is your favorite holiday? Christmas, I love all the lights and decorations

26. Is there anything that you collect? Water Goblets,StampinUp stuff and now knitting.

1. What do you like to knit or crochet? (socks,sweater,etc.) I like to knit purses and scarfs.

2. What fibers do you like? So far anything, I am new to knitting. I do know that I like the softest ones.

5. Do you use a magic loop method or any other we should know about? Are you interested in learning a new method? I do not have any loop method and yes I am interested is learning anything new.

6. Do you have a favorite place that you shop online? I have only tried KnitPicks so far.

Where is the Knitting???May I ask.

I have not really been able to sit down and knit. I am a stay at home mom who is now working out of her home. I am doing all the office stuff now for Suncoast Precast, like payroll, telephone, writing letters, paying bills, and etc. I have not really worked in about 10 years. I have helped my husband through the years with his sign company, but I never felt like that was work because I was with my husband and he is so much fun to be with. Now I get up at 6:00a.m. and pray with my friend Peggy and then I am able to get about 2 hours of work done. Then my 8 year old is off to school and then I am with my 2 young ones, Cristian and Trevor. I am able to still work, but as you have read I am new at this. I have to get on a better schdule of working in the home, like my household chores, kids and then work. But then where does my private time come in. Any suggestions out there????? I am not complaining I know that the Lord blessed me with this job and I am having a great time with it. Just sometimes feel like I am losing it. Oh well. I have recieved my first order from KnitPicks and I will be posting some pictures on my blog soon. I am starting the Sophie Bag again because my first try I read the pattern wrong. I did mention before that I am new at knitting.

My Cristian (21/2) has now started preschool and boy does he think he is something else. He goes 2 days aweek, Wednesday and Friday. He is having a great time with it. Now Trevor (11/2) is not having a great time with, for he does not like having to be away from his brother to long. But I am enjoying it because now I get to spend some one on one time with him. We come home and he is the big boy of the house. I am sure that it is doing them good to be separted from one another for just a little while. Well time to stop and get dinner started together.
